You can change flights, but if the PZ bucket does not have availability you’ll be back in economy. You might want to call and see if an agent can just change the first segment.
Note that the ticket is going to reprice if you do this. There's also some element of risk if PZ is no longer available on the long-haul, because an agent may not know how to make the change without losing the upgrade.
