A lot of people seem to find that door a very exciting feature. I mean, it's nice and adds a bit more privacy when lying down, but the "older" business class seats are all quite nice too and angled in a way that they give pretty good privacy as is. I'd be disappointed being moved from a 1-2-1 layout to a 2-2-2 on the A330, but not otherwise. I guess somehow the doors are still a novelty.

Conversely, I find it interesting that people seem obsessed with the doors on AF's business class seat, but KLM also has a similar product and people rarely seem to try and ask if the flight they'll be on has the door. Their food might be a downside, but the seats really are quite good too.
