I have now stayed here four times, and the hotel has grown on me. Although I still do not like the darkness in the evening, in the day time, and in the room, things are quite nice. I have either use a SUA, or have been given an upgrade to a Deluxe Suite (or higher) each time.

Breakfast becomes quite boring for an extended stay. The menu choices do not change, and the buffet items are largely the same. I got bored of the same items by the 4th day of a week-long stay. I did notice some variation of menu items in the Chinese breakfast set among my past three stays.

I need to use Line 2 of the Metro quite often, and the walk is a bit farther than I would like. Cannot enter Line 2 from the Metro entrance across the street from the hotel.

Taikoo Hui is quite convenient for shopping and eating. There are also many restaurants in the various streets and neighbourhoods around the hotel. I used to hold casual meetings at the Starbucks Reserve; the 2/F tea section was always quite empty. However, during my last visit, for most of the time, both the coffee and tea floors were full of guests. It is nice to see more people out and about; the mall was quite deserted during my earlier trips.

One final note: I would prefer Alila over the Sukhothai.
