The agent was able to reassure me that everything is in order with the booking, but that I will have to wait until the website issue is resolved before managing it online.
I got a similar reply via online chat this morning as well. "We do not anticipate you to have any issue accessing your reservation online 24 hours in advance to check in – whether you are logged in to your AAdvantage account or not. You can also check in at the airport using your confirmation code. We’re always here to help if you have any questions.
This was due to a technical change in our system and our team is working on it. There is no issue with your trip and your reservation remains valid."
