i highly recommend hotel arts in barcelona. it was one of the most gay-friendly hotels i've experienced in europe. we were there for my (ex) boyfriend's bday. the girl working the pool area chatted with us each day about where to go out in town. at dinner in the restaurant, our server brought us a complimentary bottle of wine to say congrats on our anniversary (he got it wrong since it was a bday, but shows where his mind was and that us having an anniversary was perfectly normal). to top the stay off, housekeeping hand wrote a note wishing david a happy bday. we felt really welcomed there and no one batted an eye at us being a gay couple.
