BA0421 AGP-LHR 10/4/25

54 in CE apparently 5 were downgraded to ET as well ! Very busy at Passport control at AGP as well sailed through security but took 45 mins to get through PC.

I was slightly grumpy as no menus were offered and no pre dinner drinks run (1235 flight) however this turned out to be to be down to a bit of excellent customer care by the IFM. Rear chillers had gone down ( no buy on board for ET ) crew had 4 hours to serve food from LHR departure having had it all on dry ice , so food was being warmed from push back and had to be served straight away. Once this was explained to me by IFM I was full of admiration for CC as I could then appreciate and understand the constraints they were working under. Really excellent stuff. They just about ran out of booze too although I don’t think anyone went without.

Another interesting aside a very accommodating man moved from 1D so a family of 6 ( yes 6) could take up the entirety of Row 1. He got booted down to 10A.

I had the lamb and Merlot.

10/10 for CC especially to the IFM ( who spent an extraordinary amount of time explaining to me ,after the meal service the intricacies of the constraints and why each decision was made , as far as showing me the dialogue he was having on his comms with BA back in London pre departure ).
I hope he has great trip to LAX tomorrow.

PS I thought the food was very good.
