No, because this is false advertising of services that don’t actually exist there. That’s why we left — end of story. Unless the two staff members didn’t understand the Bonvoy rules and explained something incorrectly.

As for the rooms, both suites are fine, but each has a different interior design. The Charles Suite is newer, but its size is smaller than that of the W. The view from the window is much better in the W Marvelous Suite.
Everyone will have their own opinion depending on their aesthetic preferences.

I don’t care about a birthday cake carried over by the restaurant staff — we’re on an ongoing two-month holiday trip across Asia, and we just took a short detour to the Hong Kong area for my wife’s birthday.
