Here at W Macau, I received a detailed itinerary on how to get to W Guangzhou by train, including approximate travel times for each leg of the journey. As for the W Macau, when we entered from the street, we were upgraded to a Marvelous Suite from the price of a standard room (probably because it was the only one available that evening, as the regular rooms were already fully booked, even though they were showing available in the app). In the room, we received a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, a chocolate dessert, and some cookies in a box with the W Hotel logo, plus two drinks at the W Bar. At the Hawker restaurant, even though the buffet was full, we were allowed to use the à la carte menu, which is usually available from 12 to 16, in the evening.
I’m still confused. You moved hotels just because you couldn’t get Marriott points for the spa or restaurants and because there wasn’t a specific line for elite check in and they didn’t have a lounge (they never said they did)?
You already got upgraded to the Charles Suite from a standard room and free breakfast at Londoner Grande? Or did they deny this just like Regis did?
If Londoner Grande didn’t offer breakfast that would be concerning.
Anyway, it’s one night so you’d better enjoy it. It’s a small indoor pool at W and the room layout is weird but you should enjoy the breakfast (I’d say not quite as good as Londoner Grande as the restaurant is quite narrow and cramped due to the building shape but the coffee is the best - try an ice latte you won’t regret it!). If you’ve got time, have lunch at Le Brasserie (would have been a great place for dinner tonight as if it’s a birthday celebration they’ll come and sing at your table in French and bring a small cake) but no Marriott points (if that’s your main focus). Enjoy!
