my only flights are on UA and SN. I booked this through UA as a multi city trip.
I've encountered this before, and IIRC it may be due to a need to re-check your passport every so often (also can be a visa issue). I don't know why it would issue a paper BP you can print but not mobile (presumably either way you could skate).
