I’m not sure where you’re based but certainly in London now there has been a massive expansion of East Asian supermarkets over recent years with huge ranges - literally aisle upon aisle - of these types of things. The Tian Tian brand is one in particular but there are others. I suspect they are/use large importers as you say.

There is also a noticeably larger range in Sainsbury’s etc than there used to be.
