In the recent changes on Chase MP credit card benefits, Explorer Cardholders are no longer eligible for award tickets CPU. Was not sure when that become effective but that appears what you got caught in the change. That may explain why you got on the upgrade list but once the day of travel came, no longer eligible. HOWEVER, it has been report elsewhere this does not drop until 1 Aug 2025. But a number of other benefits have changed sooner than expected.

Correct, but now with even the Explorer card is a no. (supposedly starting 1 Aug 2925)
