Upgrades are supposed to be an elite benefit at participating Design hotels. OTOH, breakfast is not a published benefit, so I guess there's a trade-off there.

Gaslamp is in general too loud for me. Of the downtown SD Marriotts, I'm partial to Marquis and SS.
