Common sense security we need to have. This madness no-one needs.

And I bet UA had no say in thr matter, sadly.
If it bothers you so much, why not stop travelling to the US? I'm sure you can find other places to take 40,000-mile mileage runs upgraded with SWUs from el cheapo fares.
