Try calling SQ, explain the situation and ask for an exception - find a nice reason for it (i.e. your parents' first trip to Singapore, need to experience the "best airline lounge", etc.). Plus, they're already a premium passenger.
SQ people are usually very nice and I would not be surprised if they'd allow this exception.
Quick story: I was once travelling to CDG, SQ Y class, arriving 6:00am or so - since i had to wait for a friend arriving into CDG at around 9:00am, i asked SQ (in SIN, before departure for CDG) to allow and arrange access to LH/*A lounge in CDG T1 for 2 hours upon arrival. SQ nicely accomodated my request (and I had no SQ status then). ^
