Just stayed here. Largely agree with the above. Points to note:
- Was told that there were no upgrades for anyone, ever, at this hotel, and that apart from the 5 suites, all the rooms were identical (which as the above posts notes, is not quite true).
- My regular King room looked almost identical to the corner room above, just a foot narrower in each dimension, and no window next to the TV.
- Impossible to work in the room - really sucks for business travel.
- No recognition of Ambassador status, nor offer of welcome gift option, late checkout not an option (though I don't need it anyway)
- I was given breakfast (not as an option, just told it was included). Same comment about opening the dishes - silly! Didn't find the breakfast particularly interesting, but then I don't eat hotel breakfast in general (unless in the UAE, India, and East and South-East Asia where it's a whole different game)
- Plenty of hallway noise, and plenty of street noise - had to put in earplugs to sleep.
- Absolutely will not choose this again - nothing egregious, but there are far better options in San Diego.
