Funny story on smells…
I was on a flight last year and my seat neighbour was wearing a very strong perfume (smelled like a dessert). I sort of got used to the smell and didn’t realise it was from my neighbour, but cabin crew and other passengers couldn’t figure out where it was coming from.

They brought in engineers to find the source with no luck, and eventually everyone had to get off the plane so they could do a proper check. As we were walking off then plane, one of the cabin crew smelt my neighbour as she walked past, put two and two together and pulled her aside discretely.
Eventually they let us back on, but caused well over 1hr of delay.

The pilot made an announcement once we were all seated again, but didn’t mention it was due to the perfume (probably to save the woman from further embarrassment). The passengers from the row behind us kept on telling the cabin crew they could still smell the strong odour, but they replied that it’s not an issue. I could feel the embarrassment strongly emanating from my poor neighbour 🤣
