Not just for high season awards, but it seems awards in J/F on many routes have also increased substantially for all seasons. However, I agree that the removal of RT requirement on NH metal makes AMC more competitive with other FFPs. NH hasn't updated its partner award chart and I hope it'd remove the RT requirement for partner flights as well (I don't see any reason why it wouldn't).
I know the whole chart went up about a year ago, but did it go up again aside from the obvious high season increases this time around?
I specifically avoid travel during ANA's high season, so this might be a net positive for me to be able to book two one ways. Or book one way with ANA and the return with another carrier.. or vice versa using a combination of Amex and Chase point transfers.
