Anyone else find the "shoe removal threat" at any UA terminals? I got it at SFO domestic and DTW. According to TSA policy, removing your shoes is optional, but mine have never been a problem anywhere in the world, so I made the mistake of not taking them off at DTW this week. If you don't, full scale secondary screening, including pat downs. If they are nervous about shoes, just wand my shoes. The full deal is just their way of saying do it our way or we will abuse every rule in the book to show you who's boss.
