The issue is that many states still offer non-real ID. If they had stopped, this would not have been an issue at this point.
A state like Pennsylvania requires a dumb amount of documents to be brought in and there is only 2 locations in my county that process it. You also have to pay a one time $30 fee for REAL ID. I went in to renew my regular license and was in and out in 5 minutes, but that particular location did not process REAL ID. Went by a location that does and the line was for 3 hours of waiting.
So some states are just not handling any of this in a good way at all.
