Just a small note on the point above - this secondary security check has now been mostly (completely?) eliminated for passengers originating in DUB as they consider those initial security checks to be acceptable. Your boarding pass will be checked and you'll either be sent around the checkpoint to bypass it, or into the checkpoint. It appears that connecting passengers are the ones now going through the secondary check.
