Swapping seats around in narrowbodies doesn't take long. They might even just do this in-house? The big question in my mind is whether is they'll be able to get the supply from the seat manufacturer.
They aren’t just swapping seats around. They are:
- adding W seating, cabin divider
- ripping out galleys / installing new galley systems / installing ovens
- most Y189 have hot water only, so replacing with coffee makers
- certain Y189 tails presently have small Max overhead bins; retrofitting all cabin bins
- installing WestJet WiFi presented by Telus
- installing/wiring EmPower ports to every seat
- replacing carpet throughout
Its a significant job.
