Sorry for not being clear. When I tried to use a $500 card to purchase a money order for $497. It was declined. And then I bought some candy for a couple bucks. And tried elsewhere for about $493 and change to buy a money order and it was declined again. then tried at another location for $199 figuring that if it was declined, I would simply switch out for a $200 Staples Visa card. But it went through. The problem of course will be that it will cost me about two dollars to get two separate money orders, If I have to get two money orders of $199 apiece versus one dollar getting a money order for close to $500. I’ll have to experiment a little bit to see how high I can go and not be declined.
