Well, that's not exactly a new thing. Such machines have been around retail for a long time. I'm just not used to using one to check out at a hotel. My check-out typically consists of me applying points to my room, checking the charges look good, and then leaving. They just charge my card, without me physically handing them my card at check-out. Such a process would seem to slow down the departure significantly, since I often just head out and text them from the car that I've left my room.
