updated: they upgraded us at Londoner to Charles Suite and at W Macau to Marvelous Suite which cancel ? We just want to explore the nightlife in Macau — the streets and casinos (we don’t gamble).
I’d go for Londoner. Location is more “central” to things in Cotai, however, don’t expect much in terms of nightlife. Also, remember you’re on the other side of Macau to old Macau. If you mean nightclubs then there’s one in the City of Dreams. There’s the St. Regis Bar with live music but better to reserve and watch out for minimum charges (cheapest to reserve bar stools) and no shorts allowed. Breakfast at Londoner is slightly better but coffee is better at W. Rooms are Londoner will be better as they’re all new. W has an indoor pool with shared steam and jacuzzi whereas Londoner has an outside (former Sheraton pool) with jacuzzi and steam in the changing rooms. Suites at W were a bit of an odd shape because of the building shape so I didn’t feel it was a good use of space. You’d have standard W amenities whereas Londoner will be nicer (Le Chemin by Byredo) but they are in big dispensers. Charles Suite has a massage chair (wonderful!) and air purifier - ask them to change the language to English. Don’t forgot to ride the free cable car to Wynn Palace in the late afternoon onwards (only arriving, not departing). .
