Hi all, very infrequent UA flyer here and had some questions for my upcoming Polaris flight:
1) I see 3 apps listed and was wondering am I choosing 1 of the 3 or all 3 will be brought out as part of the first course? One of the 3 sounds more like an amouse & one being the standard salad it threw me off and made me think maybe I do get all 3.
Hot towel followed by a snack mix of nuts and pretzels (hopefully warmed) to start with a drink.
You'll get the salad and the choice between the other two appetizers. You may be able to get both by request once everyone else has been served.
2) Any thoughts between the halibut w/ red pepper sauce, quinoa & veggies or the veggie stir fry w/ udon & Thai coconut ginger cream sauce
I prefer the halibut. Fish can be hit or miss those (in terms of being dry)
3) Does UA have caramel or butterscotch sauce for the sundae
Caramel and chocolate from USA.
4) Is it usually no issue to have both a sundae & cheese plate
No problem, generally.
5) Mid flight meal sounds quite nice.. One can choose as many of the 4 they want or its just a choose 1? Is there a set time in the flight UA begins this service or you can request it at any time? Black bean corn empanadas, herbed ricotta, a stir fry & a gnocchi.
There are small tapas-style plates. You can try them all.
That blows AA & DL out of the water for a mid flight meal service

6) Any thoughts between the tomato & spinach egg white bites or the banana bread pudding
Both good, but the bread pudding is really a sugar bomb and I like the egg white bites very much.
7) I dont see espresso listed on the beverages. Does UA only have regular coffee & no espresso based drinks
Only regular coffee, though the illy isn't bad for airline coffee.
However, you can get a can of illy cold brew or an espresso martini cocktail.
Not a question just a comment, but the wine list looks really nice as well as the champagne. My last Polaris flight was early 2023 and it was abysmal on every level possible. I am actually very much looking forward to this flight.

The wine list has greatly improved and there's a new partnership with Heitz Cellar, which is an excellent wine brand.
