Meet Kanazawa Station at 8:35am for 8:50am JR Ishikawa Railway Line train to Takaoka
Change to JR Himi Line to Himi, arr.10:11am.
Himi is a port city at the base of Noto Peninsula. Near the port, the Himi Banya-gai area houses a fish market, a hot spring and an observation deck with views of Karashima Island and the Tateyama mountains on a clear day. After lunch we travel to Toyama via Takaoka.

Toyama (富山) is a former castle town and is historically a centre of medicine. Due to its position on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, Toyama is a popular stop for tourists on the way to other attractions in the area such as the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. We plan to visit a traditional medicine shop (Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten), the Glass Art Museum and Toyama City Hall Observation Tower.
