I hope I'm not overthinking this.... I have some Airbnb gift cards that would cover part of the cost of a reservation in France. Outbound ticket is booked with AA miles with the taxes paid on my Club Infinite card (because it's AA miles I don't think I'd have Trip Delay coverage). In the event a delay on our outbound flight causes us to miss a night or two at the Airbnb, should I try to pay the equivalent of 1-2 nights on my Club card and the remainder with the gift cards? That way I could pay for a hotel in our connecting city and the insurance would reimburse me for the missed night(s) under Trip Interruption.
