I read it as OP making a Correspondance. If so, unclear how it would be possible to access the PABLO machines at T2 unless OP wants to exit to the Departures area and then back through the main security and passport control, which on a 2 hour int'l transfer would be ill-advised.

Indeed, he will have to exit rather than going directly to passport control. That is an oddity of the Schengen agreement. It adds a new security check,and possibly a random check when exiting the FCO plane. But this is not an international transfer as far as Schengen is concerned.
