I stayed a week at the Sofitel Krabi, in a Prestige Suite using SNUs. Overall a very pleasant stay. I arranged for a hotel pick up from HKT airport (2 hour drive with a hotel owned super luxurious mini van with a great driver). The hotel is quite large but it never felt super busy. The room was large but could have done with more soft furnishings. The sofa was so uncomfortable. The bedroom had lots of storage capacity and the balcony (corner room) was very large with sea views and a great sunset setting. The hotel at large was in good shape (nothing like earlier reviews) but not as meticulously maintained as the Sofitel in Siem Reap. They could learn something from Siem Reap. Styles are similar but this showed some signs of wear and tear. The hotel grounds were lush and well maintained (including the coconut situation, see review above). Welcome and turn down amenities were aplenty.

The hotel has several restaurants: Maya (all day dining), Venezia (Italian), and White Lotus (named before the TV series was a thing), as well as the pool bar serving food and drinks all day. Quality in all was decent and affordable with Accor Plus but not top tier. The lounge where we had breakfast for more peace and quiet was adequate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This is Thailand after all. Breakfast is a small buffet with hot options being a la carte. Evening drinks also featured a small buffet, with hot options being handed out on a tray. Cocktails were decent. I do however have an issue with kids and babies in the lounge during cocktail hour (yes this is a resort but still).

The spa was good (though prices were significant higher than at its sister property in Siem Reap). The hotel also has a number of boats for Island tours. Elites gets a 15% discount. We did 2 tours, one the "signature tour" being better than the 4 island tour. The included picnic was somewhat basic and the Sofitel is missing a trick here by not adding some French chic.

The pool, the largest in Thailand, was busy with the usual European "reservers" being a problem. The beach was cleaned daily, had loungers and towels but no service (drinks).

The GM while visible walking the property never made any attempt to talk to the guest, even in the lounge, I find that strange.
