I believe power banks on planes have a decade+ of showing they are generally fine, and unless this becomes a more common issue it shouldn't be implemented.

There are multiple mitigation strategies beyond an outright ban if one is truly concerned. Requiring all power banks to be held by consumers or just not in the overhead bin makes sense to me.

I'm not trying to be rude or dismissive, I want safe aviation, however I don't know how much safer this is truly making aviation compared to how much its an inconvenience to everyone (*crew included! no crew member I have talked to is happy about this)
