Late compared to what? This is how it went for the VX merger too, they didn’t jump out of the gate with companion certificates working on VX flights.
With that merger, AS metal wasn't wholly replaced by VX's on particular routes prior to SOC, thus preventing companion certs from being used on certain routings (like several now solely HA-operated routes) where they had
previously been redeemable.
