FlyingBlue just got back to me with the usual Bravo Sierra reply :
"For the past couple of years, Flying Blue replaces the luggage tags with a 100% digital one to join the plastic free policy and to reduce our impact on the environment. This will save 5 tons of paper and 15 tons of plastic per year!
From now on, all Flying Blue members are able to download the app BAGTAG on their phone to be able to track their baggage."
The TA however told me that another kit was requested and "should arrive within 6 to 8 weeks".
I assume there are still bag tags and cards for Lifetime Platinums and Ultimates right ?
When I see that I receive gold cards from BA and Aegean in days after requesting and just got my Executive card from ITA today in the mail while having flown with them just once, I think there is really room for improvement in this area for top-tier Flying Blue members.
Not that the physical membership card changes things much, but the bag tags would be nice to have. It's not a unreasonable request to me to receive one, and in less than 4 months after qualification. It's not like there were millions of Ultimate members afterall...
I saw posts from several Ulti and PFLs that they received tags in March. But I too have been waiting on my new tags since November. Tbh, it would be nice to get these since the current ones are starting to delaminate and bend with all the travel they've seen. I don't even check the bags with these tags. It's weird.
