Looking at a trip to Malta and deciding between the Marriott and the Westin.

Ideally one with a better lounge, happy hour times and offerings (including wines).

Looking at locations it's neither here nor there; though obviously the one closer to any attractions/restaurants/locations is good.

Prices seem similar, any recommendations on which would be preferable?

Also, do Platinum members get lounge access here regardless of their room? Conscious it's a resort hotel so they have differing rules.
