Yup, they are unique as a "LCC" that uses RJs and thus can and does serve many smaller markets. However, they are using new Airbuses to serve FL/West coast.
It's really up to you what airline to fly. This is a capitalistic, competitive society- you choose the airline that you give your money based on fare, times, destinations, preferences etc. Nothing wrong with FlyI.
