So I think BA have missed a trick with this one (at least I can't see them doing this on the website at the moment).
I think it would have been a great opportunity for them to have a something on the "Extras" page of a booking to tick to say "Book my flight with Sustainable Aviation Fuel" which would then add an appropriate amount to the booking.
The benefits of this are:
- It's easier for business travellers to add on their booking and it's just a cost of the flight which they can expense.
- It's easier for businesses to say their travel is sustainable if they can book all flights adding SAF
- It's more likely an individual would add the £25 or £50 or whatever for SAF for their flight to make themselves feel more sustainable
- It's part of the purchase people are already making so much easier to justify in the context of the expense of a flight or holiday
- It's not buried away somewhere else in the website
If BA choose to use this approach I'd be more than happy to accept Gold Guest List for Life as payment
