This is a nice extra to anyone who wanted to donate to this anyway but for those who didn’t I think a better way to get the extra tier points is if you’re booking a BA Holiday to select a more expensive hotel room or a better car. You’re earning the same £1=1TP but you’re getting something out of it and there’s no 1K cap.

I think they should have given a better rate on these donations (as the spend is capped anyway) just so they can claim to be green. Something like 12 TP per £10.

That said I did buy £10 worth to see how it worked and the answer is it didn’t. The 100 Avios posted instantly but it said 0 tier points. However the small print does say it will take a few days for the points to post.
