DId you actively use the three cards? Could not 1 or 2 cards covered your purchasing activities?
I suspect Chase has found too many cardmembers are "sock drawering" the cards and just using the benefits but not generating the desire card revenues for Chase. Essentially the cards were not covering the cost of benefits.
