My guess is that having a day use rate that follows an overnight stay will be more likely to credit as two elite nights since the check-in days would be different. As a credit card Diamond, I don't track my stays or elite nights closely (other than meandering toward lifetime Diamond).

Getting back to the property specific items, I will inquire about breakfast upon arrival and keeping the same room across the two bookings.
