For those of us who were alive when UA was the free world's largest airline with only domestic / Canada routes to the Worldwide Services airline of the past 39 years...a lot of the TPAC (800s) and TATL (900s) flight numbering came from Pan Am routes they acquired (which has been talked about before). 881/882 should always be an ORD-TOK (still miss when 881 continued onto BKK with the same 747 a few times...although you got fewer miles as they counted the circle route miles vs actual when sold as 881 ORD-BKK w 1 stop)
"TOK" isn't what yu think it is. I believe you meant TYO.
