To be fair, I think most people who will remain gold are cautiously optimistic that marginal improvements may be made as and when the lounge refits are completed at T5 (a very long and slow process). That is all some years away. I think it’s reasonable to assume that BA will make greater effort with a cohort of relatively high spending corporate customers than it will with legions of people who simply impoverish themselves by gaming the system. But who really knows. The vast majority of people on here were taken by surprise on 30 Dec and that alone might suggest we have less insight into BA strategy than we might like to think……
