Paddington is our favorite London hotel. Not because it's such a great property, but because of its access to transportation. Heathrow Express to and from the airport. Hammersmith and City, Bakerloo, District and Circle line all serve Paddington Station. Access to the hotel is all within the the Paddington train station protected from the weather. Just a quick escalator ride up one level and you're at the back door of the hotel. Rooms are better in the newer tower, although the corridors can have various levels making the transit with luggage a challenge for us nearly 80 year olds. The executive lounge has a fabulous view of the train station although the food and beverage offerings are nothing special. There's even a Marks and Spencer in the train station and you can order their underwear (the best in the world) to be delivered there for your pickup.
