I had my FRA-ABZ cancelled by them and they played the technical error is an extraordinary circumstance lie and lost.
I also had it with Swiss (a Lufthansa subsidiary) who cancelled my ZRH-LCY. They claimed it was never cancelled to begin with, then when I sent them proof it had been cancelled, they claimed it was a technical error, then changed their minds and pretended it had been weather! I filed the paperwork with the court and their lawyer emailed me offering me the £620 I wanted (£520 compensation, £70 court fee and some meal expenses).
Good to hear it is possible to win compensation against Lufthansa. How long did it take from when you first submit your application to finally getting the cash offer?
