Fill out an EC261 claim on Lufthansa website.

Lufthansa group tend to deny claims and say every delay or cancellation was due to extraordinary circumstances. Ignore them when they do this and file a claim with the small claims court. Its easy to do.
I have done this multuple times.
When Lufthansa receive the court papers their lawyers get in touch to settle.
Thanks for the link and the tip about small claims court.

The service center personnel at MUC told us it was due to technical reason they had to cancel the flight, but we suspect that because it was a Saturday morning the flight was probably not that full so they decided to rebook the passengers onto the later flight. I have been reading this forum so know Lufthansa will most likely deny the claim or stall. I thought I might have to resort to ADR.
