Sorry, I am not writing posts on FT in a way where I always have to worry about people misconstruing what I say. On the other hand, I feel you are applying a double-standard here.

I did not dispute you, though I think at times when availability is more critical (close to sold out), CX might charge the fare difference to the next available booking class. Historical fares may be used, as I have shared, so of course if the same booking class is available, only change fee is collected. You did not say where your flights were going ex-TPE, so I am merely complementing your information of "1k TWD" and added that,

If, according to what you said, the context here is we are talking about CX change-fee ex-Taiwan being flat (and I think CX change fee is flat in most cases), and you did not reiterate that context, how come this requirement is imposed on me? You can take the context for granted as you please, but I am bound to reiterate that?
