So... is there a consensus as to what is the best BKK Marriott/Bonvoy hotel now?

I used to love the Caroline Astor at Str, and breakfasts and pool were killer, but that's 10+ years ago.

Always felt SGS and JW were fine, ginormous esp SGS, but not like wow as they were dated. (I think I read upthread one of the two had rooms redone? JW Marriott?)

Le Meridien was fine, especially after I got upgraded to a huge suite on the corner with a big dining table in the main room, etc., but a regular room meh, almost downtrodden. Maye updated?

I've recently stayed at 4PbS15, but must confess I'm a little dated in my experiences, and the above posts don't make me want to stay at the Ritz.

If I must go out of planet Marriott, what 5*s are any of you eyeing, as alternatives? Or, is everybody brand-loyal to the death??
