Good question. With virtually 100% of the mainline fleet having gotten brand new ViaSat antennas in the last 2 years, it would be pretty dramatic for DL to turn around and rip them all out. But who knows? Maybe just the A350 fleet, since ViaSat has a huge coverage gap across the Pacific.
IMO, I think long-haul is where in-flight WiFi comes in handy. I can live without WiFi on flights under 5 hours.
