I’m trying to decide where to post miles for a British Airways first trip next week (AA or AS). It seems from several posts in this thread when the loyalty points post they post retroactively back to the date they were earned.
With that methodology in mind, is it fairly safe to assume that if I fly out this British Airways ticket next week and post it, and then the loyalty points and updated EP status post afterward, that the earned miles and points will be retroactively adjusted? Or is that not a safe assumption?
I'm not following. Are you asking what happens to your elite status bonus if you fly and then make EXP due to a retro posting (e.g 80% vs 120%)?
If so, I highly doubt that it will change automatically. Call AAdvantage Customer Service and talk to them after your flights post and you make EXP.
