I thought that was odd since my two HomeDepot.com purchases were $20 and $125.
The only purchase that would give me $3.20 at 10% is my $31.98 purchase at BestBuy.com for H&R Block tax software.
The progress email from Citi stated that I had spent $1034.32 on eligible home improvement purchases.
The only way that total is possible is if the $31.98 BestBuy.com purchase counted as "Home Improvement".
This is really bizarre.
The merchant category for Best Buy is Merchandise-ELECTRONIC STORES.
Anyway, just another datapoint.
As I mentioned in an earlier post- Samsung.com was similar... they sell large appliances... I think thats the key.. more datapoints needed but I bet other appliance electronics stores qualify for double dip. Best buy.com does sell amazon and ebay GC so that could be a win.
