I disagree in the sense that they’re comparable properties. RC is much more cookie-cutter than PH. I don’t think RC has memorable properties on the level of PHs in Milan, Vienna, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, and Auckland (for example). Zurich is generic (amazing service tho). Those are exceptional properties that embrace the locale. I don’t think RC does that nearly as well. That said, I never stay at RC so I’m sure that naïveté contributes to my opinion.
I put RC a step below PH and have PH on the same level at St Regis and Waldorf Astoria.
