Welcome to HHH - Heathrow Hotel Hell, something I go through once or twice a year. The Hoppas are a rip-off - expensive, unreliable, crowded, and slow, but thanks to BAA the only choice. The Hilton is very nice, you don't need the Hoppa, they know it and charge accordingly. Having watched a familty struggle even with carry-on luggae on/off the Hoppa, which also does not go to T4, I say pay your money to Mr. Hilton and sleep!
